The best game in the pokemon legacy so far
A new game and a new platform, the Game Boy advance; this doesnt only mean improved graphics but sound too. You now traverse the world of Houen and can capture up to 130+ new pokemon, and a whole new arsenal of moves, Plus the best Tm list by far ever created. Like the crystal version, you now have the option of being a boy or a girl at the start of the game and like the the other five games choose one of three pokemon at the start. There are new features on this game too, such as Poroks which can help you in contests, or even evolve a certain water pokemon. There are also two on two battles which adds novelty fun and strategy to your battles. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not the 5 of which it actually deserves is due to the fact you can not trade via crystal, gold or silver, let alone red, blue and yellow. This however does not matter if you dont like the other pokemon or do not have the other games. And in my opinion I think it has the coolest pokemon so far on it. As a result a definate must buy for the gameboy advance: for anyone who likes the pokemon collection, or any RPG fan.

P.S. Team Rocket are finaly gone, but are replaced with a new enemy - the elusive team aqua/magma depending on which game you choose.

The best pokemon game yet?
Ive had Sapphire for nearly two months now, and Id say its probably the best one in the series so far. The new features such as the contests are great, the graphics are better than ever (I know they seem almost identical at first, but try going back to Gold/Silver after a week or two and youll see the difference), and the special abilities and 2-on-2 battles add a new dimension to the strategy. There are problems though - loads of the best pokemon from previous games dont appear, a couple of secret features need the E-card reader (which isnt even out in the UK yet), and many features from previous games are gone. Still, this is the best pokemon game yet, and well worth a try.

Best GBA game ever
This game contains 202 Pokemon, of which about 130 are brand new. However, Nintendo have said that the other Pokemon can be unlocked. How you can do that will be known in the future. The game takes half the time to complete as Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal, but the brand new Pokemon make it worth it. The graphics are better than previous versions, and there are a lot more multiplayer options. You can trade Pokemon, battle in 2 player mode and 4 player mode, you can make PokeBlocks and trade records.

Pokemon characteristics play a big part in this game. Some characteristics will mean higher attack, others higher defense. There are also Pokemon abilities, these add a new dimension to battles. For example, a Pokemon can automatically make it rain at the start of the battle. Pokemon contests are also a new way to train Pokemon. Pokemon dont battle, but you must feed them Pokedex to make them cooler, smarter, more beautiful, cuter or tough. You can win medals from these contests.

These extra features will keep you entranced for longer than the game lasts, although it still wont be as long as Gold, Silver or Crystal.
